Last Wednesday in Serbia it was 41 degrees, I came back to England on Thursday and it was 22. Such was the shock to my system, that I had to turn on the central heating, I was freezing.
Still, it was a great holiday, I finally took my fathers ashes home and laid him to rest in the family plot, which was long overdue, he died in 1998 for fuck sake.
In fairness though, they did have a little war going on.
It really brings home the importance of family and friends, even those that are a few thousand miles away and, the fact that, when it comes to family, language is no barrier. I am ashamed to say that, I only speak very basic Serbian, I understand more than I speak, but this was not a problem. Problem or not, it is now on my to do list, and I will achieve it.
Anyway, so good was the holiday, that AIF didn't even cross my mind, I literally turned it off all together, it was amazing.
But now I'm back, from outer space, I just walked in to find you here with that sad look upon your face.
Today, I completed three more pictures, I have overcome two of my biggest obstacles in the game, after so long of 'Not being able to see the wood for the trees.' I sat down, for the first time in three weeks, looked at it, and within, no more than three minutes, called myself a twat and fixed it, purring like a kitten now, did exactly the same with second. So I really did need the break, who woulda thunk it!!
Be good, and as always, look after one another. Oh, and make that phone call, the one to the family member, that you haven't spoken to for twenty years. Trust me, it's well worth it!!!
